# Heatmap Widget type: `opendash-widget-leaflet-heat` · Plugin: `@opendash/plugin-mobility` ![Heatmap preview](../../../../../_attachments/opendash/widgets/assets/widget-previews/leaflet-heat.png) ## Description Visualises value frequency or density as a heatmap to highlight hotspots and concentration areas. The widget collects all geo coordinates from the selected data dimension(s) over the chosen time range and renders them as a Leaflet heat layer, automatically fitting the map view to the data bounds. Areas with many overlapping positions appear as intense hotspots. ## Data requirements - Data selection: by dimension (`select: "dimension"`), minimum 1 item. Allowed value type: `Geo`. - Data fetching: live and history are both supported; aggregation is disabled (`aggregation: false`), so raw positions are used. ## Options This widget has no configurable options beyond data selection. (The config interface only declares a generic `option` field, which is not exposed in any settings UI — the widget has no settings component.) ## Presets - Heatmap — Visualises value frequency or density as a heatmap to highlight hotspots and concentration areas. Tags: `map`. No default config. ## How to use 1. Add the "Heatmap" widget to a dashboard. 2. Select one or more geo data dimensions whose positions should be aggregated. 3. Choose a time range; the widget plots all matching coordinates as a heat layer and zooms to fit the data. 4. Read the map: brighter/denser regions indicate where positions concentrate.
